Joseph James Erramouspe, 81, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Doctor Erramouspe passed away following a brief illness. He was born on June 24, 2014 on a sheep ranch in Sublette County, the son of Gaston Erramouspe and Grace Larre. Joe attended school on the ranch and graduated from Regis High School. He also attended Regis College with a business degree and attended Creighton Dental School, earning a Doctorate/DDS. He married Barbara Jean Radosevich in Rock Springs, Wyoming in August of 1958. Doctor Erramouspe served in the United Sates Army in Germany and during the Korean Conflict. He was self-employed as a dentist for over forty years. Doctor Erramouspe was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, School District #1 School Board for sixteen years, Hospital Foundation, Joint Powers Water Board, Trustee of Holy Spirit Catholic Community, various offices of the Southwest Wyoming Dental Association, board member and coach of Babe Ruth and Senior Babe Ruth. He was brought into the world on the ranch where he grew up. He was delivered by his father, and educated on the ranch along side his brothers and sisters until he attended high school and college at Regis. When not in school, he was a sheepherder in the Wind River and Wyoming ranges. Doctor Erramouspe began his practice in Rock Springs and raised his family and was very active in the community. He had a great love of family and sports and enjoyed spending time in Pinedale. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up and followed them as they participated in various activities. He especially loved watching Duke Blue Devils basketball, Notre Dame football and the Colorado Rockies baseball. If they were not on television, any sport would do. Survivors include his wife Barbara Erramouspe of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three sons Mark Erramouspe and his wife Dede, Greg Erramouspe and Danny Erramouspe and wife Angie, all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two daughters Ann Stucki and husband Brett and Michelle Cook and husband Stan, all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; five sisters Miriam Grace, CSC of California, Anne Case of California, Bernadette Gosar and husband Tony of Pinedale, Wyoming, Margaret Sellyei and husband Joe of Colorado and Grace Mossman of Colorado; two sister-in-laws , Wilma Erramouspe of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Susan Erramouspe of Shoshoni, Wyoming; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and JoAnn Tate; eleven grandchildren, Chris, Ryan and Megan Cook; Grace, Sarah and Jake Stucki, Nina Klingensmith, Alex Erramouspe; Tony, Abbie and Ava Erramouspe. He was preceded in death by his parents Gaston and Grace Erramouspe, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Mary Radosevich; brothers Pierre Erramouspe, John Erramouspe, Paul Erramouspe, Phillip Erramouspe, Louis Erramouspe and sister Catherine Canestrini; brother-in-laws Richard Canestrini and Roy Case. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Vigil Service with Rosary will be recited at 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the church. Father Tom Sheridan and Father Glen Szczechowski will conduct the services. Interment will be conducted at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. till time of rosary and again Wednesday till time of services.
